Federação SIGMA, então SIGMA Co. (contração de SIGMA Collective), é uma organização supranacional, de interesse público e direito privado, estabelecido para reunir, organizar e orquestrar, em uma infraestrutura unificada, a conglomeração das sociedades independentes de cyber ciência, tecnologia e engenharia, cybercultistas e tecnocráticas, da América Latina, bem como seus recursos, bens e direitos, sob a autoridade comum e a titularidade singular da SIGMA.
Em 2020, todas as sociedades, juntas de serviço e colunas operacionais da SIGMA, incluindo seus respectivos recursos, bens e direitos, foram todos remanejados para a titularidade da SIGMA Co. No entanto, a entidade da SIGMA deu seus primeiros passos em 2013, sendo pública e oficialmente denominada SIGMA apenas em 2017. É uma história complexa de mais para contar aqui.
Da fusão da massa remanescente da dissolução de grupos de interesse especial em informação, telecomunicação, sindicação de conteúdo e processamento de dados, a SIGMA atualmente, desdobra-se em múltiplas frentes operacionais, com suas atividades científicas, educacionais, arquivistas, bibliotecárias, tecnológicas, jornalísticas, sociais, culturais, filantrópicas, financiais e políticas.
At Federação SIGMA (“SIGMA”), we try to keep things as simple and easy as possible, but since this is a legal document, it’s a bit longer than we would like it to be. It’s important that you read this carefully and understand the Terms of Use.

By using SIGMA services, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which apply to all SIGMA services (webmail, blogs, forums, sync and other resources) made available to the SIGMA environment.
We do our best to provide the best environment; however, we cannot be liable for any kind of damage, direct or consequential, resulting from your use of our Website.
We do not guarantee that access to our Website will always be available or uninterrupted.
The Website and all the Website elements are provided on an “as is” basis. This means that we cannot guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of information available.
The information on the Website is not prescreened or censored by SIGMA, but we may remove any information posted on the Website without notice, if we have reason to believe that it violates the Terms of Use. SIGMA is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such material.

Please note that the email quota is of 5GB. As soon as your account reaches critical size, SIGMA will send you a warning message. An account that has exceeded the quota limit will be blocked from receiving mail and from storing new messages. In such a case, you will not be able to send or receive mail.
Please note that if you delete your data, including but not limited to your topics and comments on the forum, we will not be able to restore it for you.
The content and material you publish on our forums, blogs and themes is yours only, and SIGMA does not claim ownership to any of your uploads. We only use, copy, display, distribute and adapt your content for the purpose of running the forums and blog services. By accepting these Terms of Use through your continued use of the services, you grant SIGMA an irrevocable license to do so.
You can choose to end the agreement at any time, for any reason, by deleting your SIGMA account and discontinuing your use of the services. When doing so, your data is permanently deleted from all our servers, and your username can never be re-used.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the services or remove any of your content at any time for any reason (not limited to the list below), if we reasonably believe:
If you violate any of the Terms, in addition to your account being suspended or terminated, you may be exposed to civil and criminal sanctions.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you by the email address associated with your SIGMA account or the next time you attempt to access the Services.
We encourage people to actively log in and use SIGMA services when they register an account. To keep your account active, be sure to log in at least once every 6 months. Accounts and their contents may be permanently removed due to prolonged inactivity.
Inactivity is based on a combination of participating in environment activities on the forum, blogs and resources, using the sync feature or webmail. Therefore, unconfirmed or mass-produced accounts without virtual practice in any of these environment activities are also subject to permanent removal at any time. Please note that you may not be able to tell whether an account is currently inactive, as not all signs of account activity are publicly visible.
SIGMA has a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual imagery. If we become aware of such content, we will report it to the authorities, as required by law. We may also take disciplinary action, including termination, against the SIGMA Mail accounts of those involved.
You will respect copyright laws in your use of SIGMA environment services and will not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights.
You are also not allowed to encourage or induce others to violate intellectual property rights. You can report copyright infringement to SIGMA at [email protected].
SIGMA is an entity registered at DMCA.
Keep it legal. Don’t use SIGMA environment services to promote, organize or engage in unlawful activities.
The amount of storage space per user is limited. Some sent or received content, or uploaded or downloaded files, may not be processed due to space constraints or other limitations. You agree that SIGMA is not responsible or liable for the deletion or failure to store messages, files or other information.

At Federação SIGMA (“SIGMA”), protecting your privacy is one of our top priorities. We strictly protect the security of your personal information within SIGMA’s Web Services (mail, blogs, forum, resources, etc).

We keep the contact information you provide in your account profile. We use this contact information in case of lost passwords, username recovery, account confirmation, or other account-related support work. We also use this contact information to keep you updated about any technical development in our products and services and, if you have decided so, send you our newsletter.

The legal basis for the processing is the fulfillment of your request (contract) and the legitimate interest SIGMA has in providing you with updates and newsletters pertaining the services.
In order to provide our forum service and identify possible account abuse, we collect your email address, hashed IP address, profile picture, posts and topics, and the history of changes. We do not have access to your private chats. SIGMA forum uses a modified version of the Akismet plugin to mitigate spam. The plugin has been modified so that the only information sent back to Akismet is username and comment content, excluding personal data like IP and email address as the default install would require. The legal basis for the processing is the legitimate interest SIGMA has in providing you with a good experience when using our forum service.
In order to provide you our mail service we process the following email metadata: sender and recipient email addresses, the IP address from which incoming messages originated, and message sent and received times. Email messages are scanned by automated systems that allow us to detect malicious activity. The legal basis for the processing is the fulfilment of your request (contract) and the legitimate interest SIGMA has in providing you with a good experience when using our email service.
To protect our webmail and blog services from fraudulent users, we will in addition ask for your phone number as phone number verification provides an added level of security. We use the third-party service Nexmo to send you SMS and won’t use the phone number for anything else but account verification. Read more about their privacy policy.
If you use SIGMA Sync feature, the documentation about the data we collect and for what purposes for this service is available here. The legal basis for the processing is the legitimate interest SIGMA has in providing you with a good experience when using our Sync feature.
SIGMA has strict restrictions on access to user data. Only a limited number of SIGMA’s employees or employees at SIGMA’s service providers for the web hosting services have access to such data.
Through SIGMA Web Services, you can directly access, edit, delete or export your personal data.
SIGMA will not transfer any personal data to third parties except as required by law or law enforcement.
SIGMA will delete personal information when all purposes of the personal information processing have been fulfilled and when deletion is allowed pursuant to applicable laws and regulations.
When you close your SIGMA account, your data is immediately deleted from our production servers.
Email logs are stored for up to three months.
